Tangible progress

As we continue to create a product we can share with our fellow retail traders, just a quick update on the progress of the platform.

Milestone 1

By analysing historical data sets we can better understand a stock’s characteristics and behaviour.

As a data driven company we automated this analysis.

The result of this activity was that we could pick any stock and quickly tell whether this stock was likely to trend up or down.

We had developed a proprietary stock data analysis.

Milestone 2

Next came an important pivot in our strategy and applying the ‘top down’ approach.

Instead of focussing on one specific stock we simply applied the analysis to the whole market. We would essentially start with a funnel containing 5000+ stocks and narrow it down to a select few that displayed specific characteristics.

The concept was simple but the computing requirements were relatively complex.

The output however was definitive. Every day the entire market was analysed. It defined stocks that were likely to trend upwards. The stocks meeting the trading rules criteria formed a short list of stocks likely to move upwards. This list was essentially a pick list.

Not only had we found an edge but we had automated it. Every day we would receive a ticker ready to be explored further.
